"Every customer has a story. Every order matters. And sometimes a cloud cat sits in the mixing bowl."
— Nora, on Cloud Baker

THE STORY
Cloud Baker began as the simplest possible idea: a girl in a sky kitchen baking weather for customers.
What it became was something much bigger. Twenty recipes. Twelve customers each with their own personality. A full story arc about a weather crisis threatening the sky world. Night mode. Costumes. A dragon crossover.
And Cumulus. Always Cumulus.

HOW A
GAME IS BORN
Behind the scenes at Nora's Gamer Studio — from first idea to finished game.
✦ ✦ ✦
STEP ONE
THE IDEA
Every game starts with a single question. Cloud Baker: what if weather was something you baked? Inkblot: what if your pet was a tiny rainbow kraken with feelings? Wolf Pack: what if you were the werewolf trying to find your pack?
The question comes first. Everything else follows.
STEP TWO
THE CHARACTER
Before any code is written the main character needs to exist. Who are they? What do they look like? What do they want? Why does the player care about them?
Cirra got her lime green hair first. Everything else about her grew from that detail.
STEP THREE
THE FIRST VERSION
The first version of any game is always rough. Cirra's cloud dress used to just be a white oval. Inkblot was once just a purple circle with two dots.
The first version proves the idea works. Everything after that is making it real.
STEP FOUR
ADDING DETAILS
This is the part that takes the longest. Adding expressions. Writing dialogue. Building the story. Making Cumulus sit in the bowl exactly right.
Details are what turn a game into a world.
STEP FIVE
FINISHING
A game is finished when it feels like the thing you imagined at the beginning.
Cloud Baker took weeks. So did Inkblot. Wolf Pack is still becoming what it needs to be.
They all finish eventually.

THE GALLERY
A walk through the worlds Nora has built.
✦ ✦ ✦
Nora's universe began with one small game and kept growing. Cloud Baker's sky kitchen was first. Then Inkblot, the tiny rainbow kraken. Then dragons, wolves, volcanoes, entire worlds.
Each game is its own story, but they all share the same feeling: the world is kind, and the characters matter, and every detail was drawn by someone who loves them.
The Gallery on the next issue will feature concept art, early sketches, and a full field guide to every character who has ever appeared in a Nora's Gamer Studio production.
For now, here's a small taste of what's coming. Turn the page for the back cover and the teaser for Issue 02. Stay chaotic. ✨
